Your voice is important on this issue! Here are some actions you can take right now to stop PSEs LNG facility:
Join over 59,000 people who have signed – this petition – to oppose this devastating project on Puyallup Traditional lands and on the Salish Sea. Every signature pushes an email to the desk of Washington State Governor Jay Inslee.
Call the Governor (360)902-4111
Urge Gov. Inslee to honor the treaties and use his power to stop construction until permit issues are resolved. He has received the petition with over 52,000 signatures and a letter signed by the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians (ATNI) yet has not responded.
Call the Attorney General (253)593-5243
Request that he launch an investigation regarding how the City of Tacoma became the State Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) lead when the state is usually the lead; ask him to pursue specifically whether there were conflicts of interesting through the permitting process, whether segmentation was improperly used to further the project in the City’s “culture of yes” and how the Puyallup Tribe of Indians treaty rights are being violated.
Contact Puget Sound Energy (PSE)
Ask them why they continue to invest in fossil fuels instead of renewable energy. Write a note on your monthly bill. Call customer service at 888-225-5773 and email CEO Kimberly Harris at Kimberly.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Contact your legislative district’s representatives, both at the state and local levels.
Educate yourself and your neighbors about ‘greenwashing’.
